weather tweet

This site provides an interactive demonstration of a machine learning algorithm developed for text classification; otherwise know as natural language processing.

The algorithm is designed to classify a user's tweet by its sentiment (positive, negative or neutral), tense (past, present or future) and the sort of weather the tweet references (rainy, sunny, cloudy, windy, etc …).

The algorithm was built using a dataset of actual tweets sourced from CrowdFlower's Open Data Library. Further information about the underlying dataset is available via Kaggle's website.
